W.a.y. corporation was founded in 2016 by the current Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Ethel H. Braxton. After serving as executive director of a non profit community organization for over 25 years Mrs. Braxton retired and still felt compelled to continue serving the community. W.A.Y. Corporation is intended to wholistically serve the community which includes families as well as individuals.
Community Outreach has been the W.A.Y. and we plan to continue to expand on our services. We provide a wide range of services such as reentry programs, job readiness workshops, financial education, life coaching, food pantry, youth development programs, holiday baskets and so much more.
Food Stability
This pillar focuses on addressing immediate and long-term food insecurity within the communities WAY Corp. serves. The goal is to ensure reliable access to nutritious, high-quality food for individuals and families, promoting health and reducing the cognitive and physical burdens associated with hunger. Initiatives under this pillar include operating community food distribution programs, establishing partnerships with local farms and grocery suppliers, and implementing educational programs on sustainable nutrition and food preparation to encourage self-sufficiency.
This pillar is dedicated to economic empowerment by equipping participants with the necessary professional and practical skills to achieve financial independence and career success. It encompasses training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, vocational trades, and essential "soft skills" (e.g., communication, teamwork, problem-solving) critical for thriving in a professional environment. The focus is on bridging the skills gap, enabling career readiness, and supporting the creation and growth of small businesses.

The Mentorship & Life Coaching pillar provides personalized guidance and emotional support to help individuals navigate personal challenges and achieve life goals. The objective is to foster personal growth, accountability, and the development of essential coping mechanisms to succeed in all facets of life.
